The biggest thing that bugged me about my Gert cosplay was the clothing I picked for her. Mostly the tshirt. I always pictured Gert wearing a tshirt with some sort of nostalgic or old school thing on it, nothing video game or comic related. That’s more Chase and Alex’s domain. Well I have two months and I’m going to make sure I don’t just rush to Goodwill to find a barely doable shirt.
I have to keep in mind the color of Gert’s hair. I plan on redoing my wig to be more like Kerry’s Lumpy Space Princess (SHE SO PRETTY)
I can totally see her wearing a Sherlock shirt….it gives me a great excuse to get one XD Any suggestions?

I love Innocent and this fits so well with Runaways and the Gert and Chase specifically.

2011 Cosplay Review
Inspired to do this by my fellow cosplayer friend, Paigey. I plan on continuing to do this each year. Especially with the number of cosplays I do now! Terra was the most complicated of the group, took the longest to make and won more awards. Including Best Journeyman of Otakon 2011. Gert was the most fun, because of the group I had with me. FemLink felt the most empowering. The Courtesans and Zelda I got done within a few days time, the quickest cosplay job I’ve ever done.
I have huge plans for next year! Lots of epic groups and fun cosplays! Stay tuned!

Runaways Gertrude and Old Lace! Probably one of the easiest and funnest cosplays I’ve thrown together! The challenge, of course, was the almost life size Dinosaur as my companion! But I’m very very VERY happy how she came out. I’ll probably make a few tweaks on both Gert’s outfit and Old Lace before Acen 2012. We’re getting back together and will have the entire cast!! I can’t wait, I love my Runaways family!

Runaways Group at Youma’11!
Most awesome group and photoshoot I’ve ever had! We plan on having the full group at Acen 2012! Its so good to do comic cosplays! I fear that I’m now cursed of it because of these fabulous people!
